General Medical and Surgical

The Operating Suite consists of: 

• Two operating theatres;
• One post anaesthetic recovery room;
• One day surgery recovery room; and
• Central Sterilising Department (CSD).

Surgical services available include: 

• Dental surgery;
• Ear, nose and throat surgery;
• Endoscopy;
• General (including colorectal) surgery;
• Obstetric and gynaecological surgery;
• Ophthalmic surgery;
• Orthopaedic surgery;
• Plastic surgery; and 
• Urological surgery.

The Day Surgery room accommodates patients undergoing Epidural injections, drug infusions and blood transfusions.

The CSD provides sterilising services to the Operating Suite, hospital departments and external clients. 

Availability

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (excluding public holidays).
Emergency obstetric surgery is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
