Dr Emma Lewis

Dr Emma Lewis offers a comprehensive upper limb service, managing conditions from the wrist to shoulder, including acute traumatic injuries and fractures.

She relocated from Brisbane in 2004 to study medicine at Monash University, graduating in 2009 with her MBBS and an honours research degree. 

Dr Lewis earned a Graduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne, a Masters of Sports Medicine through the University of Queensland (UQ) and is now engaged in a PhD through UQ focused on tissue engineering options for bone graft. She is committed to advancing her evidence-based practice through teaching and research.

Dr Lewis became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in August 2022 and has completed 18 months of sub-speciality training in Queensland and Italy. She is an active member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. 

Dr Lewis strives to treat her patients holistically, with the aim to relieve pain and restore function.
