Bass Coast Health is excited to welcome Dr Chandika Wewelwala to the senior medical team.

Dr Chandika completed general surgical training at Monash Health Victoria and has done 2 further years of accredited sub specialty training in breast surgery under BreastSurgANZ.

He offers the full range of complex breast procedures for the management of breast cancers as well as benign breast disease. He also offers implant based reconstruction for the treatment of breast cancer.

Dr Chandika also performs a wide range of general surgical procedures including laparoscopic surgery. A significant proportion of his current practice in Melbourne includes laparoscopic hernia repair and laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Dr Chandika has also obtained GESA accreditation and able to offer colonoscopy services.
