Bass Coast Health is excited to welcome Dr Basavaraj Mundasad to the senior medical team. Dr. Mundasad is an energetic, passionate, and highly skilled general surgeon providing expert, quality, comprehensive, and compassionate care to all patients.

I graduated with a MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Belgaum, India in 1995. I completed my post-graduate surgical training from the same institute in 1999 and I obtained my MRCSEd from The Royal College Of Surgeons Edinburgh, UK in 2001. I did higher surgical training in Northern Ireland and Scotland and completed my exit exam to obtain FRCS General Surgery in 2009. I worked as a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon in UK before moving to Australia.

In 2013, I moved to Australia and I have been providing surgical services to Armidale, New England Region, NSW and the surrounding communities since 2013. I successfully completed my Australian fellowship in 2015.

Dr Mundasad is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh UK.
